Technical reference¶
How PoreStore runs your work: why a job is waiting, which hardware it runs on, and why a large image can take a moment to open. You don't need any of it to use PoreStore, but it explains what you see.
Nothing runs on your computer. Every tool runs on PoreStore's hardware, so you can launch and manage jobs from any browser, even on your phone, and close the tab while they run.
| Page | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Compute and hardware | Which tools run on a CPU and which on a GPU, how compute tiers and Auto choose the hardware, and the largest image each GPU backend takes |
| Job states | What pending, queued and processing mean, who is holding a job at each step, and what happens when a job waits too long or fails |
| Data storage | How images and result fields are stored, why opening a large one takes a moment, and what deleting or overwriting an image keeps |
| Release notes | What changed in PoreStore, release by release |
